Andrea Zimmerman grew up in Ohio, Utah, New York, and California. As a child she loved exploring nature, reading comic books, and riding her horse. Andrea received a BA in Fine Arts for Children and a DDS in dentistry. Andrea is still busy creating books as well as gardening, going for walks, cooking, and visiting museums. She loves funny books and movies!

 Andrea Zimmerman and David Clemesha made many picture books together. Their work was a fun process of writing and rewriting, then drawing, redrawing and painting.  Andrea and David were married for many years and raised their family of three boys in Southern California. When they celebrated good news, they’d go out for ice cream or pizza! David passed away after 75 energetic, productive, life-loving years.❤️
