Andrea Zimmerman grew up in Ohio, Utah, New York, and California. As a child she loved exploring nature, reading comic books, and riding her horse. Andrea received a BA in Fine Arts for Children and a DDS in dentistry. Andrea is still busy writing books and also enjoys gardening, going for walks, cooking, and visiting museums. She loves funny books and movies!

 Andrea Zimmerman and David Clemesha loved making picture books together. Their work was a fun process of writing and rewriting, then drawing, redrawing and painting. Andrea did most of the story writing, and when they created illustrations, David did most of the drawings and Andrea added the color using pencil, ink, and acrylic paint or Photoshop. Andrea and David were married for many years and raised their family of three boys in Southern California. When they celebrated good news, they’d go out for ice cream or pizza!

David Clemesha grew up in England and moved to the United States as a teenager. As a young person he loved tennis and playing music. David received BA and MA degrees in English and became an elementary school teacher. He loved reading, drawing, listening to music, walking the dogs, and being with his family. David passed away in January of 2023 after 75 energetic, productive, life-loving years. ❤️
